Oat is a very energetic food. It is generally given as an addition to fodder when the horse performs physical activities.
Usage[]
Oats are a high-energy food - horses that do more activities in their day will need more oats than unworked horses. Horses can be fed up to 15 pounds of oats at a time, and no more than 15 pounds in total per day. The energy it gives your horse depends on the energy the horse had when it was fed and how much it was fed.
Feeding gives the maximum amount of energy when the recommended amount of fodder and the maximum amount of oats is fed when the horse is at about 70% energy. One consistent schedule for this is to do a lesson/mission with the horse and then feed it.
Oats can be fed to horses once they reach the age of 1 year and 6 months.
